Swannie James Ellison Obituary

Swannie James Ellison age 85, of Newport, was known as Maw to everyone, passed away on Saturday October 15, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Pearl Cogdill James, husband, Estes Ellison, son Jimmy Ellison, brothers, Caulie James and Clay James, sister Juanita James.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (John) Cavanaugh of Del Rio, son Joey (Sherry) Ellison , of White Pine, granddaughter Shannon (Derek) Sexton of New Market, grandson, Justin Ellison, brothers, Herman (Ruby) James, Grady (Linda) James, sisters-in-law, Linda James and Wanda James all of Newport, a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, Evan Wade Allen, Judson Spence Marion, Wyatt Dewayne Sexton, Barrett Dewayne Sexton and Saydee Leigh Sexton, also other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Bell Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Blanchard officiating. Burial will follow the service.
