It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stella Mae Adcox of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" Adcox; her parents, James Sweeten and Gertrude Sweeten; and her siblings, Kate Frisbee, Eloise Chambers, Pauline Shelton, Irene Allen, Annis Vejnovich, J. T. Sweeten and Bernard Sweeten.
She is survived by: her sons, Joel Hance of Sevierville and Steve Adcox (Rhonda) of Thorn Hill; her grandchildren, Ryan Adcox (Anissa) of Parrottsville and Charles David Hance (Heather) of Seymour; her great grandchildren, Avery Grace Adcox and Elli Mae Hance; and her sister Beulah McKay (L. S.) of Long Creek.
