He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Cureton and Willa Mae Cureton; his daughter Cindy Cureton; his stepson Freddie Laws; and his brother Harry Cureton.

He is survived by: his wife Lillian "Tank" Cureton; his daughter Lora Love (David) of Dandridge; his stepson Russell Laws of Newport; his children-in-law, Teresa Laws of Newport, Erin Laws of Parrottsville and Heath Gregg of Newport; his grandchildren, Jacob Gregg of Knoxville, Catherine Gregg of Newport, Heather Gregg of Newport, Nicholas Laws (Jamie Breeden) of Newport, Hannah Laws (Cole Shepherd) of Newport, Aaron Laws of Newport, Stephen Laws of Kodak, Anastasia Laws of Parrottsville and Benjamin Laws of Parrottsville; his great grandchildren, Easton Shepherd of Newport and Sawyer Shepherd of Newport; his brothers, Samuel Cureton (Paulette) of Newport, Jimmy Cureton (Cindy) of Newport and Allen Cureton (Rose) of Morristown; and his close friend John "Taz" Wiedmann of Newport.
