He was predeceased by: his wife Cathy; his parents, Rev. Robert and Dorothy Phillips; and his siblings, J. C. Phillips, Jesse Phillips, Carolyn Gunter and Ann Holt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Samantha Ward (Josh) of Newport and April Warfield (Kenneth) of Bulls Gap; his siblings, Roger Phillips, Bobby Phillips, Danny Phillips (Sandy), Evelyn Renner, Debbie Holt, Susan Ramsey (Bobby) and Chris Tucker (Mike); his grandson Kaiden Ward; and his niece Melissa Shults of Newport. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
