He was predeceased by: his parents, Henderson Hurst and Elsie Hurst; his wife Edna; his children, Gurney Cox and Linda Williams; his grandson Ronnie Williams, Jr.; and his siblings, Tom Williams, Junior, Sebran, Cleo Hurst, Jewell Banks and Vera Day.
He is survived by: his sister Joyce Hurst; and his son-in-law Ronnie Williams. He is also survived by grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews.
