She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Denton and Ruth Denton (Ambrose); her husband Harold Dean Shults; her sister Louise Lane; and her siblings-in-law, James Barnard, Earl Lane and Sheila Denton.
She is survived by: her siblings, J. C. Denton of Newport, Lucille Barnard of Huber Heights and Janice Kyzer of Leesville; and her close friend Patricia McGhee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
