Orville R. Gibson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Orville R. Gibson of Newport, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Gibson and Stella Gibson; and his children, Wayne Gann, Jimmy Jinks, Bonnie Autry, Elaine Hicks, Mitzi Drinnon and Shirlene Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Gibson; his children, Sandy Allen (Todd), Orvella Norton, Marie Gibson (Johnny Norton), Janie Jinks, Vanda Moore (Benny), Billy Gibson (Jennifer) and Louie Hall (Debbie); his sisters, Treva Clark, Carolyn Buckner and Emily Hall (Al); and his close friend Jewel Freeman. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Union Cemetery (420 Mineral St, Newport, TN 37821).
