He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lawson and Nannie Holt Lawson; his brothers, Jim and Eugene Lawson (Marie); and his brothers-in-law, Charles Suggs, John David Suggs and Jack Suggs (Shirley).
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Suggs Lawson; his daughter Milli Ford (Kenneth); his sister Jeanette Nix of Hot Springs, NC; his sisters-in-law, Louise Lawson and Melba Brown; and his extended family, Brandi, Kendra and Braylee Ford. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
