Marie Erby Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Erby (Newport, Tennessee), who passed away on May 2, 2020 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marie Erby to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Frank Russell and Gene Erby; her parents, Burnett Douglas and Pearl Douglas; her siblings, Imogene Ballard, Darlene Sisk and Charles Douglas; her nephew Todd Douglas; her niece Dawn Smithpeters; and her brother-in-law Neil Ballard.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Sawyer (Wayne) and Bobby Erby (Debbie); her siblings, Jane Smithpeters, Ella Harrell (Wayne) and Ronnie Douglas (Phyllis); her sister-in-law Sherry Douglas; and her stepchildren, Donnie Russell and Sonya Huffman. She is also survived by Three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Due to the coronavirus, graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Monday, May 4, 2020, at the Douglas Family Cemetery, at Rankin, with the Rev. Josh Black officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the church of your choice or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
