Lori Mae Vassar Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lori Mae Vassar of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Reed, Lenola Vassar, George and Mae Carr. She is survived by: her parents, Vassar, Jr. Vassar and Brenda L. Vassar; her siblings, Greg Vassar (Melanie) and Della Hicks; and her nieces and nephews, Kendra Vassar, Hunter Lowery, Hailey Lowery, Devin Myers and Cole Hicks. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church or Newport Animal Shelter.
