She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyle Barger and Sue Barger of Parrottsville; her former husband Richard B. Smith of Parrottsville; her son-in-law Robert G. Chambers of Franklin; and her sisters-in-law, Louise and Betty Smith of Florida.
She is survived by: her husband Dan Anderson Metcalf of Newport; her children, Whitney Smith Chambers-Woods (Brad) of Fairview, Allison Manes (Eric) of Newport, Bert Metcalf and Jessica of Morristown; her brother Bob Barger (Patricia) of Parrottsville; her grandchildren, R. Alex Chambers of Miami, Florida, Arin Chambers of Nashville, Jim Denton (Lassiter) of Dandridge, Bo Denton (Taylor) of Newport and Beck Manes of Newport; her great grandchildren, Charleigh and Caroline Denton; her nieces, Cari Beth Lee (Brian), Keira of Farragut, Casey Williams and Jaxon of Rutledge; her friend Diane Smith Lyles of Parrottsville; and her caregiver Jodie Hall.
