He was predeceased by: his wife Louise F. Frazier Ball; his parents, Kervie Ball and Delilah Ball; and his siblings, Glenn Connelly Ball, Roman Junior Ball, Wilse Junior Ball, Joe "Bud" Preston Ball, Alfred "Alf" Monroe Ball, Robert Kervie Ball, Dorothy Ball Polky, Lucynda Ball Spence and Beulah Mae Ball Herder.
He is survived by: his sons, Johnnie Ball Jr. of Newport and Vick Naillon of Newport; and his sister Wanda Lucille Ball Self of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
