With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann H. Scott of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on January 20, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John C. Scott; her children, Helen Scott England (Penny) and Mark Scott; her parents, Wallace Charles Hale and Nancy Elizabeth Bryant Hale; and her brothers, Charles Wayne Hale, Jack Wallace Hale and Robert Thomas Hale (Bobby).

She is survived by: her children, John "Steve" Scott (Phyllis), James "Mike" Scott (Janet) of Silverdale, Washington, Elizabeth "Libby" Hixson (CL) of Newport, Pamela Baxter (Russell) of Pensacola and Courtney Purkey (Michael) of Russellville; and her granddaughter Kelly Whitt. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and dear friends.
