With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jessica N. Shelton of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on January 7, 2021 at the age of 35. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Norwood and Mary Sue Cogdill Norwood; her grandparents, Roy, Artemus Cogdill and Desmon Norwood; and her uncle Mike Norwood.
She is survived by: her son Hunter Austin Shelton; her sister Vanessa Dennis of Newport; her aunts, Pat Norwood Purkey of Newport and Helen Gilliam of Old Fort, NC; her uncle W. T. Cogdill of Newport; her nieces, Jennifer Self Pierce of Knoxville and Jaylen Self of Newport; her cousins, Shannon Ellison Sexton of New Market, Nicole Bolick of Marion, NC, Amy Cogdill Cheek of Knoxville and Chasity Cheek (Brian Pierce) of Knoxville; and her friends, Harold of Newport, Marcie Crum of Newport and Holly Tritt of Newport.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Costner-Maloy Funeral Home to help cover the final expenses.
