He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Benjamin, Christine Sterchi, Ray and Cordelia Proffitt; his nephew Logan Teague Proffitt; his cousin Matthew Proffitt; and his aunts and uncles, Tina, Bill Stuckey, Tony Proffitt and Jan Proffitt.
He is survived by: his parents, Pat Proffitt and Mary Proffitt of Newport, TN; his brothers, Travis Warren Proffitt (Roy Harlan) of Chilhowie, VA and Benjamin Teague Proffitt of Parrottsville, TN; and his nephew Liam Ashton Proffitt of Parrottsville, TN. He is also survived by several other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Newport Shrine Club and the First United Methodist Church Youth.
