James Aster Moody Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Aster Moody of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on August 22, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his children, James Belvin Moody and Jeanette Zaddock; his grandson Randal Moody; and his siblings, Jesse Moody, Emanuel Moody, Robert Moody, Carl Moody, Fred Moody, Glenda Cagle, Hilda Wyatt, Juanita Smith and Clursa Messer.
He is survived by: his wife Artha Moody of Newport; his son Douglas Moody (Heiderose) of Taylor, Michigan; his granddaughter Melanie Moody Coffey (Ron) of Newport; his sister Lois Cagle of Waynesville, NC; and his grandchildren, Kristi Shultz of Sevierville, Paul Zaddock of Texas and Brian Moody. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; also several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
