He is survived by: his children, James Acord, Jr. of Nashville and Dalhia Acord of Parrottsville; his grandchildren, Shyla Acord of Newport, Kayden and Karson Nease of Parrottsville; his siblings, Nancy Hypes (Lanty) of West Virginia, Patsy Lisle (Jim) of Ohio, Rogie Acord of Newport, Sherry Ellison (Joey) of White Pine, Betsy Acord of Newport, Gary Acord (Loretta) of Washington, Kenny Acord (Lena) of West Virginia, Susie Layman, Phillip Crosby of White Pine and William "Bear" Smallwood (Romana) of Newport; and his great-niece Sheali Morales. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
