He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Walker and Lulu Mae Walker; his in-laws, W. C. and Wilma Jones; and his brothers, G. W. and James Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Walker; his daughter Janet Walker Haag (Mike); his grandson Grant Haag (Kaitlyn) of Nashville, TN; his great grandchild Nora of Nashville, TN; his sister-in-law Carlene Jones Callihan (Larry); his niece Katie McGaha Wilber (Sean) of Hillsville, VA; his great-niece Evelyn Wilber of Hillsville, VA; and his siblings, Gary Walker (Julie) of Bybee and Darby Walker Linholm (Randall) of Bybee. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the New Home Cemetery (2350 Holt Town Rd, Newport, TN 37821).
