George Franklin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Franklin (Newport, Tennessee), who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Franklin to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Franklin and Ella Franklin (Lunsford); and his siblings, John, Carl Franklin, Beatrice Hensley and Nellie Moore.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra Franklin, Lisa Black (Steve), Allen Franklin (Barbara), Gail Jones, Ginger Myers (Tim) and Mary Wilson; and his grandchildren, Alexandria Bretzke, Jessica McGaha, Briana Franklin, Emily Myers, Megan Wilson and Brandon Wilson. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In recognition of the ongoing pandemic, masks and social distancing are encouraged for those in attendance.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's charity of your choice.
