We are sad to announce that on May 14, 2022, at the age of 85, Garland Edward Layman of Newport, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Layman and Estie Layman; and his siblings, Dorothy Allen, Gene Layman, Roy McMahan, Jackie Layman, Kelly McMahan and E. C. McMahan.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Shoemaker Layman of Newport; his son Charley Layman (Vicki) of Knoxville; his grandson Dr. Bradford Layman of Knoxville; and also, Sherry, Bryce Strange of Newport, Linda Householder of Knoxville and Nancy Layman of Newport.
