It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frank Self Jr. of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Self and Naomi Gibbs Self; his siblings, Larry, Jackie Self and Dorothy Self Tucker; and his parents-in-law, Glen and Naoma Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalind Gibson Self of Newport; his son Joshua Scott Self (Heather) of Parrottsville; his grandsons, Tristin Scott Self of Newport, Aaron Gabriel Self (Jayden Black) of Newport, Dakota Ellison (Abbie Mila) of Newport, Andrew Moore (Alexis) of White Pine, Shawn Moore (Chrystal) of Bybee and Austin Ellison (Makayla Blevins) of Knoxville; and his nieces, Mickey Yates (Sherrill) of Del Rio and Melanie Valentine Shepherd of Lake Worth, FL.. He is also survived by two aunts, one uncle, and several cousins and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in memory of Mr. Self to Shriner's Hospital for Children or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
