She was predeceased by: her husbands, Gerald C Grooms and Junior P Grooms; her son Garry L Grooms, Sr.; her parents, Scott Large and Unav Valentine Perryman; and her siblings, Dorothy Woods (Raymond), Charles Large (Louise) and David "Bud" Perryman (Patricia).
She is survived by: her grandsons, Garry L Grooms, Jr. (Carla) of Newport, Jerry T Grooms (Melissa) of Newport and Johnny M Grooms (Rebecca) of Woodbridge, VA; her great grandchildren, Ashlee Fisher (Noah) of Newport, Carolann McMahan (Denton) of Clarksville, TN, Colby Grooms of Newport and Emily Grooms of Woodbridge, VA; her great great grandchild Theo Fisher of Newport; her siblings, Sandra Allen (Tom) of Newport, Margaret Latham of Gallatin, TN, James and Buckwheat; her niece Joy Large; and her friend Susie Odell of Newport. She is also survived by nephews, cousins.
