With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emma Dean James (Newport, Tennessee), born in Marshall, North Carolina, who passed away on July 14, 2019 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul James; her parents, Ernest Mason and Princy Mason (Gentry); her siblings, Eugene Mason of Newport, L. V. Mason, Burnett Mason, Loys Mason, Marvin Mason of Gastonia and Fayetta Mason of Parrottsville; and her grandson-in-law Earl Wade.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary James (Margaret) of Knoxville and Freddy James, Sr. (Beth) of Newport; her brother Cleyon Mason; her grandchildren, Dawanna King (Mark), Christi Wade of Knoxville, Tracey Achenbach (Jimmy) of Huntsville, Amy Evans (Charles) of Newport and Freddy James, Jr. (Jurron Bradley) of New York; her great grandchildren, Ian, Zachary King, Jakob, Eli, Josie Wade, Elizabeth (Saxton Long) and Charlie Evans; and her sisters-in-law, Kathleen James, Joyce Cox and Ruby James.
