She was predeceased by: her husband John B Allen, Jr. (Diddle); her children, Pamela Cole and Ethan Allen; her parents, James McMahan and Estie McMahan Layman; and her brothers, Roy McMahan, E. C. McMahan, Kelly McMahan, Eugene Layman (Gene) and Jackie Layman.

She is survived by: her children, Gwynda Allen of Ohio, John B Allen, III (JB) and Scott Allen of Newport; her grandchildren, Walter Cole (Buddy), Meghan Cole, Michael Allen, Dorothy Allen, Brandeanna Allen, John B Allen, IV, Jordan Allen and Ashley Allen; and her brother Ed Layman (Peachie). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
