He was predeceased by: his father Terry James; his grandparents, Dewey and Vondle James; his uncle Dewey G. James; his close friend Misty Barnes; his grandparents, Roy and Ruby Walker; his uncle Allen Walker; and his aunt Linda Soliday.
He is survived by: his daughter Alyssa Howery (Brandon); his granddaughters, Ashlynn and Alayah Howery; his mother Nona James; his siblings, Terra Ray and Danny Fine (Miranda); and his aunts and uncles, Kerry James, Kenny Walker (Rachel), Julie Whitson (Clinton) and Brenda Sutton (John). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (303 White Oak Ave, Newport, TN 37821). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Union Cemetery (420 Mineral St, Newport, TN 37821-3900).
