He was predeceased by: his mother Connie Webb Shults (Hilda Hall Shults); his daughter Vivian "Tencie" Shults; his siblings, Donald Shults, Edith Hudson, Ethel Wines and Evelyn Shults; and his grandson A. J. Seaton.
He is survived by: his son Charlie Shults of Newport; his stepsons, Dwayne Stokley of Fort Worth and Tim Stokley of Parrottsville; his daughter Vicky Seaton (Tank) of Sevierville; his stepdaughter Angie Angello (Wayne) of Newport; his sister Eva Nease of Erwin; and his pet Sammi. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
