He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Kirkpatrick and Glenna Kirkpatrick; and his siblings, Marie Evans, Vernie Henderson, Martha Price, Christine O'Dell and Jimmy Lynn Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by: his daughter April Allen; and his siblings, Ben "Sonny" Kirkpatrick, Loretta Arrington, Mary Sutton, Rosie Messer, Betty Ruth Frazier, Frances Sutton, Dora Ball and Charlene Warden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
