She was predeceased by: her husband Quinton Shelton; her parents, Lawrence Brooks and Bessie Brooks; her son Timothy Steve Shelton; and her siblings, Cloyas Brown, L. D. Brooks, Jr. and Hershel Brooks.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Cari Beth Barger (Brian), Casey Williams (Stephen), Ashley Shelton (Dustin), Stephanie Shelton and Billy Moore; her daughter-in-law Debbie Shelton of Newport; her sister Atlas Campbell of Newport; and her great grandchildren, Keira Thatcher, Jaxon Williams, Timothy Shakespeare and Carleigh Lane. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church or to the Bread Basket.
