It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn R. Smith of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on May 8, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Von Smith; her children, Michael Smith and Brenda Smith; her foster daughter Gail Holt; and her sister Emma Hurley Hill.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Kreg Smith and Trevor Von Smith (Cara); her great grandchildren, Carter, Cam and Cade Smith; her daughter-in-law Sherrie Smith; her niece Marsha Ball (Connie); and her nephews, Larry Hurley (Carol) and Gray Hurley, Jr. (Janie).
