He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirk Shelton and Geneva Shelton; his siblings, Joe Shelton and Shirley Fisher; and his sisters-in-law, Patsy Shelton and Flora Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Jackson Shelton; his children, Jason Shelton (Candace) of Knoxville and Amy Marie Shelton of Newport; his grandchildren, Abereaunah "Dumplin" Shelton, Carlie Jason Shelton, Tyeson Chesney and Tylen Bush; his great grandchild Karly Rai "Willow" Lawson of Knoxville; and his brothers, Doc Shelton (Rita), Harold Shelton and Terry Shelton (Tammy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
