It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Holt of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on August 20, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Holt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Shults and Eula Shults; and her brothers, Jack and Sonny Shults. She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Barnes, Joanna Holt and Toni Garver; her siblings, Ima Gene Murrell and Vistor Shults; and her close friends, Jenny Lou Byrd, Juanita Whitted and Shawn Lane. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
There will be no services and the family requests no flowers, but that donations be made to the Newport or Cosby Library in her memory.
