We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2020, at the age of 85, Barbara Jean Poe of Newport, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Shelton and Kate Shelton; her husband Edward Allen Poe; and her son Darrell Poe. She is survived by: her siblings, John Ray Shelton, James Shelton (Shirley) and Shirley Giles (Landon); her children, Karen Poe Freiheit (David) of Haymarket, VA and Brian K. Poe (late Ramonia) of Fredericksburg, VA.; and her grandchildren, Tyler Freiheit (Jenni), Jodi Houpos (Christopher), Kelly Freiheit, Anthony Poe, Moya Waters (Ryan), Brandon Parker and Brian Poe II.
The family requests in lieu of flower donations be made to support of breast cancer research or Smoky Mountain Hospice.
