He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Canon and Beryl Gibbs D'Garmo; his wife Judy Steelman Canon; his son Chadwick Lynn Capps; and his sister Ginger Stevens Canon.
He is survived by: his sons, Lee Canon (Rose) of Wilson and Tim Capps (Jane) of Newbern, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Corbin Canon, Alexis Canon, Clint Capps (Tiffany) and Zac Capps; and his great grandchildren, Zeek Capps, Serenity Capps, Mara Belle Capps and Deliah Capps.
