She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Earl Butler and Louise Benoit; her husband Richard L. Franks; her children, Richard Lee Franks and Jeannie Marie Young; and her siblings, Billy Butler, Beuton Butler and Debbie Butler.
She is survived by: her children, David Monroe Young of Trimble, Tennessee, Teresa Hill (Kerry) of Newbern and Edna Franks Butler (Mike) of Hornbeak, Tennessee; and her sisters, Margarett Morris of Dresden, Mary Newsom of Union City, Virginia Wilcutt Butler of Union City and Dorothy Pate Butler of Union City, Tennessee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
