He was predeceased by: his parents, Bivian Forsythe and Virginia Roby Forsythe; his brother Stan Forsythe; and his half-brother Adair Forsythe. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Doris Forsythe of Finley, Tennessee; his half-siblings, Vivian Archie of Florida, Donna McDivitt of Florida and Brad Forsythe of Florida; his nephew Keith Forsythe (Angie) of Finley, Tennessee; his great-nephew Kent Forsythe (Whitney) of Finley; and also, Jackson, Grady and Walker.
