He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Wilson and Virginia Turner Wilson. He is survived by: his daughter Pennie Gean (Ryan) of Newbern; and his grandchildren, Theron Gean of Nashville and Macey Gean of Newbern, Tennessee..
He was a member of the Shade Tree Tractor Club and was a former member of the Dyer County 4-H program, where he was instrumental in starting the hog program with his donation of the first registered gilt to the program.
