He is survived by: his wife Cathy McGowan Sims of Newbern, Tennessee; his children, Patrick Sims (Jenn) of Westville, Billie Sims (Kim) of Newbern, Tennessee, Tracy Malamatos of Newbern and Jennifer Rose (Josh) of Millsfield; and his siblings, Terry Sims of Newbern, Danny Sims of Sullivan, Ricky Sims (JoAnne) of Friendship, Brian Pate (Ewa) of Knoxville, Mary Jane Pugh (John) of Portage, Joyce Carter (Chris) of Churchton, Daphane Pate (Kenny Pettie) of Yorkville, Kathy Cerney (Bruce) of Ocala, Gail Crespo of Arizona, Teresa Habhab (Tony) of Kentucky and Phyllis Cox (Dennis) of Portage, Indiana. He is also survived by seventeen grand children and seven great- grandchildren.
