It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavata Willis Beatty of Newbern, Tennessee, born in Dyer, Tennessee, who passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Oscar Willis and Edith O'Guin Willis; her husband David Beatty; her daughter Linda Beatty; and her siblings, Dulan Willis, Tolbert Willis, Emmett Willis, Barnard Willis and Norma Underwood.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Beatty (Dedi) of Decaturville and Dennis Beatty (Helen) of Newbern, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Mark Beatty of Cordova, Taylor Beatty of Memphis and Rachel Smith (Chris) of Memphis, Tennessee; her great grandchildren, Jonathan Beatty, Jordon Beatty (Anna), Jalen Beatty (Alisia), Joshua Beatty, Jackson Beatty and Ava Smith; and her great great grandchildren, Maverick Beatty, Madden Beatty and Gracie Bird.
