He is survived by: his wife Brenda Shawver of Newbern, Tennessee; his sons, John Douglas Shawver, Jr. of Middletown, James Gordon Shawver (Penny) of Millsfield and Charles Douglas Shawver of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his stepson Jimmy Ozment, Jr. (Julie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his siblings, Larry Shawver (Melissa) of Fowlkes, Dewey Shawver (Cindy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Annie Riley of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Anthony Shawver, Kelsey Shawver, Hunter Ozment, Cameron Ozment, Ryder Ozment, Paxton Campbell and Courtnie Shawver; and his great grandchildren, Keeten Ozment and Koleson Ozment.
