He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman H. Cude and Margaret Bell Snow Cude; his son Erick Shane Blankenship, Sr.; and his sister Verlene Biggs. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Greer Cude of Newbern, Tennessee; and his children, Rodney Cude (Karen) of Smithland, Bret Cude (Susan) of Gilbertsville, Jay Sturdivant of Newbern, Tennessee and Aimee Cude Nelson (John) of Mayfield, Kentucky. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
