She was predeceased by: her fathers, Emerson E. and Griffin Griffin; her husband Otis Lynn West; her stepdaughter Ellen Kaplan; and her siblings, Paul Griffin, Martin Thomas Griffin, Elizabeth Woolard and Martha Davidson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon L. West of Newbern and Cynthia Gibbons of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her stepson Stephen Andrew "Andy" Wright (Nancy); and her grandson Steve Shanafelt (Kelly) of Leicester. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren and three step great-great grandchildren.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Dyer County Cancer Community Fund, P. O. Box # 1055, Dyersburg, Tennessee or the charity of their choice.
