She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. Kilzer and Mildred L. Morris Kilzer; her husband Jesse Mathis; her son Chris Sanders; and her brothers, Benny Kilzer, Jeff Kilzer, Danny Kilzer and Cal Kilzer.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Evans (Aaron) of Newbern, Patricia Hall, Becky Farrow, Tommy Mathis, Ronnie Mathis and David Mathis; and her sisters, Nan Singleton (Dennis) of Newbern and Gail Lee (Kirk) of Newbern. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
