It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Bevis of Newbern, Tennessee, born in Dyer, Tennessee, who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bee Bevis and Ophelia Woodley Bevis; his wife Rose Bevis; his stepdaughter Martha Mancell; his siblings, Gentry Bevis, Ida Mae Simpson, Frances Haraway and Bette Logan; and his son-in-law Steve Agee.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Bevis of Dyersburg, Bruce Bevis (Valerie) of Newbern, Tennessee and Sherry Agee of Newbern, Tennessee; his stepchildren, Linda Duke of Munford, Cindy McCann of Humboldt, Julie Bakr of Humboldt and Earl Burton of Newbern, Tennessee; and his siblings, Jimmy Bevis of Lebanon, Tennessee and JoAnn Qualls of Newbern. He is also survived by six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
