It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Spence Sanders of Newbern, Tennessee, born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on October 10, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Collie Marshall Spence, Sr. and Nora Thompson Spence; her husband Leroy N. Sanders; and her siblings, Merion Spence Parks, Virginia Spence O'Malley, Captain Jere C. Spence, Huey A. Spence and Louis M. Spence.
She is survived by: her son John Marshall Sanders of Newbern, Tennessee; and her siblings, Betty Spence Lowery of Dyersburg, Sandra Spence of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Collie Marshall Spence, Jr. of Smyrna and Dr. John Wess Spence (Alpha) of Monroe. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
