He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Carroll Fowlkes and Sarah Garner Fowlkes; his wife Phyllis Keating Fowlkes; and his sister Suzanne Hall. He is survived by: his children, Curtis Fowlkes (Lisa) of Newbern, Tennessee and Virginia Troutt (Jon); his sister Myla Rae Griffin of Newbern; his grandchildren, Josh Fowlkes, Carley Troutt, Elizabeth Fowlkes, Tatum Troutt, Lori Sawyer and Caleb Sawyer; and his great grandchild Josiah.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Cool Springs Cemetery (37 Cool Springs Rd, Trimble, TN 38259).
