He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Anderson and Ernestine Hall Anderson; and his brother Ricky Dale Anderson. He is survived by: his children, Marty Anderson of Charlotte, Penny Vernon (Ronnie) of Friendship and Candy Brock (Jerry) of Finley, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Payton Vernon, Preston Vernon and Katie May (Blake); and his great grandchild Brock Thomas May.
