He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E. Dent and Henrietta Kirkman Dent; and his wife Sarah Dent. He is survived by: his children, Robin Denise Dent Elgin of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Joey E. Dent of Danville. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
