He is survived by: his wife Lolita Burchfiel Austin of Newbern, Tennessee; his children, Russell Wade Austin (Penny) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Sherri Austin Hanson of Newbern and Susan Austin Douglas (Steve) of Wynne, Arkansas; his siblings, Eddie Austin (Jean) of Newbern, Tennessee and Peggy Shuck of Rogersville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Georgia Le Hanson Kolwyck, Jonathan Austin Hanson, Cara Douglas Imboden (Pete) and Cayla Douglas; and his great grandchildren, Shayla Hanson, Brianna Hoeksema, Jackson Hoeksema, Lilly Beth Kolwyck and Pete.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church, 1730 Tatumville Road, Newbern, Tennessee 38059.
