He is survived by: his sons, Richard Mitchell (Loretta) and Harold Mitchell (April); his grandchildren, Richard, Jr., Mark, Kloee Mitchell, Ivy and Riley Mitchell; his siblings, Danny Mitchell, Dennis Mitchell (Kristy), Brenda Brackett (Jim), Jolene Farley (Quentin) and Willy Tinsley; and his great-nieces, Chey, Shasta and Paislea Brackett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831). A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Mitchell Family Cemetery.
