He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowe Ray and Lassie Ray (Pratt); his daughter Margie Ray; his grandson Dustin Ray; and his sisters, Martha, Anna Mae and Lorene Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Combs Ray; his sons, Eugene Ray (Wanda) and Kevan Ray; his stepson James Lee Sandifer; and his brothers, Earl Ray, Max Ray (Lona), Glen Ray (Fousteen), Lynn Ray and Alfred Ray. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
